TEXAS GROUNDWATER MANAGEMENT AREA 11

The GMA-11 has adopted the initial Desired Future Conditions (DFC) for the Groudwater Management Area. The DFC was passed Unanimously by all voting Districts. A copy of the adopted DFC is shown below. The DFC has been accepted by the TWDB. The GMA reviewed and adopted the Managed Available Groundwater on January 12, 2011 for the next 50 years.

On May 3, 2012 Forestar and Crown Pine Timber pulled their petition filed with the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) appealing the adopted DFC. On May 7, 2012 the TWDB accepted their withdrawal and stated "No further action will be taken by the TWDB on this matter." This is good news for residents of East Texas.
