Rusk County Groundwater Conservation District

MISSION STATEMENT

The Rusk County Groundwater Conservation District's mission is to develop and implement an efficient, economical and environmentally sound groundwater management program to protect and sustain the groundwater resources of the District.
The District recognizes that the groundwater resources of the region are of vital importance. The preservation of this most valuable resource can be managed in a prudent and cost effective manner through education and cooperation. The greatest threat to prevent the District from achieving the stated mission is inappropriate management, based on a lack of understanding of local conditions.
